It is important to promote gender diversity in this field, not only to address issues of inequality, but also to improve innovation and overall performance. Encouraging women to pursue careers in tech and supporting them in their professional development can lead to a more inclusive and dynamic industry. Women have long faced discrimination because of their gender, and the realm of technology is no exception. As a result, the IEEE YP Bangalore and IEEE SB CUK's WiE Affinity Group hosted a panel discussion titled *Break N Fix* with some tech experts to offer a clear picture of how gender bias has captured technology.
As part of continuing interactions with industry experts, IEEE YP Affinity Group Bangalore Section organized an industry expert talk by Dr. Udit Kumar (Ph.D., IIT Delhi) on "VLSI - Industry & Career". About the speaker: Dr. Udit Kumar completed his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2016. He has over 15 years of VLSI design and verification experience. His research interests include VLSI Design, 5G, AI, Ethernet, and Machine Learning. He worked with various companies as Digibee Microsystems, STMicroelectronics, Atrenta, Mentor Graphics, and is currently working with EdgeQ, a startup in the 5G domain.
